In October 2020 in an effort to improve my health, I set a goal to take a walk outside each day. To make it more interesting, I began taking digital pictures along the way. At the end of each day, I look forward to seeing what has been captured during my walks. Being new to photography, I’ve found there is so much to learn and I am hopeful the pictures will improve with time.
I generally take 20-700 pictures, depending on where I’m walking. The best images for that particular day are added to this site. Each location is unpredictable and there is no telling what the camera will see. I have found that on the days that I feel like I have the most pictures, after closer review it ends up that very few are worth keeping. Then surprisingly on the days that seemed difficult to find any subjects, they often produce favorite images.
The anticipation of creating a really great picture makes it much easier for me to get up and go out walking each day, and the discovery of the hidden nature around me has been an added bonus.
